Helping families nourish, grow, and thrive

At Nourish and Nurse, we believe every family deserves compassionate, evidence-based lactation care and a supportive community.

Whether you’re preparing to welcome your baby, navigating the early days of breastfeeding, overcoming feeding challenges, or simply looking for encouragement, we’re here to help you reach your personal feeding goals.

As a Registered Nurse with specialized lactation training, I provide personalized, family-centered care in a welcoming, judgment-free environment. Every family and every feeding journey is unique, and my goal is to provide the education, confidence, and support you need every step of the way. I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that even though I am an RN, lactation support is a different world entirely and these two roles are very different. If I see something that concerns me as an RN, I will refer you back to the primary care provider for the infant or yourself.

Prenatal Breastfeeding Education

Preparing before your baby arrives can help you begin your feeding journey with confidence.

Prenatal education includes:

  • What to expect after delivery
  • The first hours and days of breastfeeding
  • Building and protecting your milk supply
  • Hand expression
  • Pumping basics
  • Normal newborn feeding behaviors
  • Partner and family support
  • Creating realistic feeding goals

Education before birth often helps families feel more confident and better prepared for common challenges.

In-Person Lactation Consultations

Individual consultations are designed to assess your unique situation and develop a personalized feeding plan that supports both you and your baby. During your visit, we may discuss:
  • Pregnancy, birth, and medical history
  • Infant feeding history and weight concerns
  • Breast and nipple assessment
  • Latch and positioning evaluation
  • Milk transfer assessment
  • Pumping techniques and flange fitting
  • Bottle feeding and paced feeding
  • Milk supply concerns
  • Individualized care plans with practical, evidence-based recommendations
Whether you are exclusively breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, or working toward your own feeding goals, your consultation is tailored specifically to your family’s needs.

Follow-Up Visits

Breastfeeding changes as babies grow, and ongoing support can make all the difference. Follow-up appointments help monitor progress, troubleshoot new concerns, and adjust your care plan as your family’s needs evolve. Common reasons for follow-up visits include:
  • Painful breastfeeding
  • Latch difficulties
  • Low or oversupply of milk
  • Engorgement or plugged ducts
  • Mastitis prevention and recovery support
  • Slow infant weight gain
  • Premature or sleepy babies
  • Pumping support
  • Returning to work or school
  • Bottle introduction
  • Relactation
  • Weaning support

Breastfeeding Support Groups

(stay tuned for a date and time announcement!)

Breastfeeding was never meant to be a journey taken alone. Our peer support groups offer a welcoming, inclusive space where parents can connect, ask questions, share experiences, and learn from one another while receiving guidance from a lactation professional.

Whether you’re breastfeeding, exclusively pumping, combination feeding, returning to work, or simply looking for connection, you are welcome.

Group meetings may include:
  • Open discussion and peer support
  • Breastfeeding education
  • Latch and positioning tips
  • Pumping and bottle-feeding guidance
  • Milk supply discussions
  • Returning to work strategies
  • Introducing solids while continuing breastfeeding
  • Weaning support
  • Guest speakers from maternal and infant health professions
  • Community resources for growing families

Research shows that ongoing peer support can improve breastfeeding confidence, increase breastfeeding duration, and help families feel less isolated. More importantly, it reminds parents that they are not alone.
